First of all, Happy belated Valentine's Day! My Valentine (Captain Fitness, pictured with the my cats Kittie Hogan and Lucas Purrker) got Qalo Rings for us! I got the purple one which is not only my favorite color but also benefits Lupus Research! I finally got up enough courage to post a #SundayMorningView picture (check out that hashtag on instgram for some great #EmbraceYourCurves pictures of beautiful, imperfectly perfect women!)

In 2 weeks, the first WOD of CrossFit open will be announced. What does that mean?
Well, if you're really good at CrossFit, it might mean that this begins your chance to make it to Regionals and then to the Games! If you just good at CrossFit, or average, or even below average, this might mean you get to test your fitness against the rest of the world, or IT MEANS NOTHINING! I really hope it means something to you (unless you don't CrossFit and are reading my blog, in that case, I hope I persuade you to try CrossFit)
I love and hate The Open. I love it because I alwasy push myself a little harder and stay a little more focused in the gym during this time. I hate it because the WODs hurt are kinda scary! Never too scary, but you know you're going t be wiped out by the time you finish.
My box, CrossFit Spur, is doing the "intramural open" this year in order to get more athletes involved in the Open and make it more fun for those that aren't really trying to make it to the Games. (Honestly, I don't think any of us plan on making it to the Games, but this whole event will be fun anyway!)
Check out what we are doing...

We have a VERY spirited group of people at our box. We are definitely not the strongest or most competitive, but we have fun and I have never seen so much heart. It's definitely going to be nice to see the hard working newer members get acknowledged for their efforts, and if nothing else I hope they have fun while fitnessing (yes, thats a word!)
Here's the video CrossFit posted about the Intramural Open
Are you participating in The Open this year? Why or Why not? Do you train a little harder for them or just do them to see how you rank? Let me know!!!
